Puneites get ready to geek out, Comic Con announced its return to city on February 6–7

Puneites will welcome the spring season with a weekend of pop-culture experiences bringing city’s fandom community together once again

Pune, November 2, 2026: Get ready to dive back into the world of fandom as Maruti Suzuki presents Pune Comic Con powered by Crunchyroll, returns on February 6–7, 2027, at Mayfield Yash Garden for an exciting pop-culture weekend.

Over the years, Pune has emerged as a key destination for entertainment, bringing together a vibrant student community, young IT professionals and a rich cultural legacy. With its deep-rooted appreciation for art, music and literature, alongside a growing interest in new-age entertainment, the city is also carving out a strong space for Comic Con and its ever-growing pop-culture fandom.

Shefali Johnson, CEO, Comic Con India, said, “Pune has a character that is distinctly its own, from the heritage streets of Shaniwar Peth and the cultural hub of Deccan to the bustling FC Road and the creative pockets of Aundh and Viman Nagar. The city’s love for Marathi theatre, literature, cinema and art reflects a cultural identity that is deeply rooted yet constantly evolving. This blend of local character and global influences makes Pune an exciting destination for Comic Con. We look forward to bringing the city’s fandom community together for a weekend of creativity, self-expression and everything they love about pop culture.”

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director, NODWIN Gaming, said, “Pune is a city of many shades, from the historic charm of Shaniwar Wada to the buzzing cafés of Koregaon Park. Its young audience has a strong appetite for gaming, music and experiences that bring people together. From the legacy of NH7 Weekender to its growing gaming and esports communities, Pune has always had a way of bringing people together through shared passions. And much like its love for misal pav and bhakarwadi, the city’s love for its interests runs deep. Comic Con brings these passions under one roof, giving fans a space to celebrate their favourite stories, discover new worlds and connect with people who love the same things they do.”

Comic Con provides the perfect platform for aspiring and experienced cosplayers to showcase their skills, express their creativity and receive appreciation from a community that shares their passion. Fans can look forward to elaborate costumes, character showcases and opportunities to connect with fellow cosplayers.

Comic Con, a subsidiary of NODWIN Gaming, will bring licensed collectibles and exclusive merchandise to new art collections by independent artists and creators, there will be plenty to discover and take home.

The experience will also feature dedicated gaming and VR zones, interactive brand experiences, creator interactions, live music and dance performances, stand-up comedy and other entertainment, making it a weekend packed with experiences for fans of every kind.
