Kolkata’s geek scene gears up as Comic Book artist Rogê Antonio heads to the City’s biggest Pop-Culture celebration

Kolkata, April 2, 2026: Marvel fans attending Kolkata Comic Con have something exciting to look forward to as Brazilian comic book artist Rogê Antonio takes the spotlight. His impressive portfolio includes titles like X-Men Red, Injustice: Year Zero, Carnage, and Deadpool, and he is currently working on a brand-new Cyclops series for Marvel Comics. The city of joy, known for its deep love towards literature, culture, and heritage even in the digital age, is all set to host its annual pop-culture festival as Maruti Suzuki presents Kolkata Comic Con, powered by Crunchyroll, on April 11–12, 2026 at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, New Town

The event will bring together a diverse lineup of over 15 Indian comic creators and writers for fan interactions. Among them is Savio Mascarenhas, Group Art Director at Amar Chitra Katha and a creative force behind many beloved Tinkle characters. Comics by Akshara, known for tackling everyday life, body image, and mental health, and Shubham Khurana, creator of Corporat, celebrated for its humorous take on corporate life. Adding a unique artistic twist, Mayuresh Lotlikar of U & V Works will showcase miniature pottery innovations. Kolkata Comic Con promises fans the chance to engage in personal conversations and interactive sessions, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the art of storytelling and creation. The two-day festival will also feature an exciting musical lineup, including Kolkata-based rapper EPR Iyer, vocalist KAI RJ, rapper and poet MC Headshot, the beatbox-fusion ensemble KY Collective, and the fan-
favorite geek music group Geek Fruit. The comedy stage will feature witty storyteller Kumar Varun. Attendees can expect an immersive entertainment experience with live gameplay, competitive challenges, and interactive showcases. The NODWIN Gaming Zone will feature virtual and simulatorgaming setups, while the Maruti Suzuki Arena Fan Experience Zone will host reflex-testing challenges.

Anime fans can explore themed experiences inspired by SPY x Family and a special installation based on Suzume. Additional attractions include movie experience zones by Supergirl, Mortal Kombat II and Lee Cronin’s The Mummy experience zone. It will also feature racing simulators by Logitech and a Just Dance Booth. Kolkata is ready to welcome fans for an unforgettable weekend on April 11–12.
