Pune Pop-Culture fandom in for a Treat: Globally acclaimed Writer and Artist Josh Blaylock to visit Pune Comic Con

Pune, March 18, 2026: The cultural capital of Maharashtra is about to go full geek mode as Maruti Suzuki presents Pune Comic Con, powered by Crunchyroll, will bring the ultimate pop-culture celebration to the city, a place where passion, creativity, and fandom culture come alive.

This year, the convention will welcome internationally acclaimed comic creator Josh Blaylock, founder of Devil’s Due Studios, having published more than 1,000 comic books, focusing on supernatural, sci-fi, and high-concept action storytelling. He is best known as the creator of the cult-hit supernatural action comic Mercy Sparx. During the convention, attendees will also have the opportunity to meet 18 Indian creators, a mix of veteran and emerging artists and storytellers who are shaping the evolving landscape of the Indian creative industry.

Among the featured creators is Savio Mascarenhas, Group Art Director at Amar Chitra Katha and the creative force behind many beloved Tinkle characters, with over three decades of influence on Indian comics. Also appearing is Shubham Khurana, creator of Corporat, known for its humorous take on corporate life. Alongwith, Founder of Holy Cow Entertainment, a veteran publisher behind over 80 comic titles including Ravanayan, The Aghori, and The Last Asuran. Adding a unique creative touch, Mayuresh Lotlikar, founder of U & V Works, will showcase miniature pottery and his team’s innovation TrnV, Bharat’s first miniature portable pottery equipment.

Beyond meeting comic artists and creators, the event promises an immersive entertainment experience. Fans can enjoy live gameplay, competitive challenges, and interactive showcases, including special setups by Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures, a dedicated Nykaa corner, racing simulator experiences by Logitech, and a Just Dance booth. The NODWIN Gaming Zone will feature virtual and simulator gaming setups, while the Maruti Suzuki Arena Fan Experience Zone will offer reflex-testing challenges and engaging activities. At the Crunchyroll Zone, anime fans can step into themed experiences inspired by SPY x Family, along with a special Suzume Door installation.

Gaming enthusiasts can also look forward to a special fan moment as Royal Challenge Packaged Drinking Water hosts leading Indian gaming YouTuber Sc0ut (Tanmay Singh) for an exclusive meet-and-greet. The booth will also feature the brand’s Challenger Gaming Zone, offering an immersive VR cricket experience.

Comic Con never holds back when it comes to delivering a high-energy entertainment experience, bringing together pop-culture references, games, live performances, stand-up comedy, and the ever-popular chance to meet incredible cosplayers.

The two-day celebration will feature an exciting lineup including Siddhartha Shetty (known for his quirky performances where he often enacts characters such as fruits like a mango or avocado), Gamak (an independent Indian artist, vocalist, and lyricist who blends R&B, melodic hip-hop, classical influences, and experimental pop), Vivek Desai (a mentalist known for his interactive mind-bending acts), Fatima Ayesha (winner of the Sterling Reserve Comedy Project Season 2), 99side (a rising Marathi/Hindi rapper and singer-songwriter) and Voctronica (India’s premier a cappella band and the country’s first “all-vocal orchestra).
