NODWIN Gaming Champions Bihar’s Esports Rise at Sportstar Sports Conclave

The Sportstar Sports Conclave Focus Bihar brought together a diverse group of athletes, experts, administrators, and stakeholders to discuss the sporting ecosystem in the region.

NODWIN Gaming was proud to be a part of the conclave in the panel “Bihar Championing India’s E-Sports Revolution.

As part of the panel, Akshat Rathee, joined esteemed panelists Nishi Kant (Chief Design & Product, JetSynthesys) and moderator Abhishek Issar (Founder, UNIV Sportatech & Co-Founder, Federation of Esports India) to discuss Bihar’s pivotal role in shaping India’s esports future.

The conversation centered on nurturing the region’s talent and infrastructure to position Bihar as a critical contributor to India’s role as a global esports leader. This movement is empowering India’s youth and showcasing how regional development can shape our nation’s gaming future on an international stage.

During the segment, Akshat Rathee said, “Individual esports has a lot of money. Esports in India has more than 250 people who earn more than one lakh rupees a month. I think building the grassroots is a discovery problem and not a build problem. The opportunities are now about States going ahead and taking leadership to its constituents saying, ‘We can put up a great spectacle that is relevant to you.’ On the back of that, we can have an institutional programme that, in two or three years, can produce the best athlete in the country.” 

The esports landscape in India has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving from grassroots tournaments to achieving mainstream recognition and government support. This evolution has solidified esports as a powerful force for empowerment, unlocking new opportunities, challenging stereotypes, and establishing itself as a future-ready profession.
