Cricket Matters 2024: A Milestone Event in New York

As the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is underway, NODWIN Gaming’s very own, Branded hosted the 2024 edition of Cricket Matters in association with the ICC and Cognizant Major League Cricket. The event took place on 6th June in New York City.

This year it brought together business leaders in the worlds of cricket, sport, arts and entertainment in the lead-up to the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match at the T20 World Cup.

The event was graced by speeches from cricketing legends such as former Australia Men’s captain Ricky Ponting, fast bowler Dale Steyn, and former English women’s professional cricketer and Director of Women’s Cricket at Surrey Ebony Rainford-Brent.

The future of cricket was the focal point of discussion at the event as ICC Chair Greg Barclay and T20 Tournament Chair Peter Hutton provided valuable perspectives into the current cricket ecosystem and shed light on the immense possibilities of global expansion that the sport has.

Furthermore, it set a platform for attendees to network with some of the biggest stakeholders, cricket legends and leaders of the industry.
Cricket Matters 2024 was a melting pot for networking, bringing together senior leaders from brands, ad agencies, sports associations, esports, and cricket companies, governments, media & tech platforms, technology providers, Web3 companies/platforms, venues, athletes, performers, influencers, and more.

The mood was highly positive for the future of the world’s second-largest sport—so yes, we can say Cricket (really) Matters! Kudos to Team Branded for putting up yet another fantastic event.
