NODWIN Gaming is proud to announce the conclusion of a successful partnership with Tencent Games to bring to life the inaugural edition of PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) in Brazil.
PMGO 2024 marked an exciting chapter for fans of competitive mobile gaming. Held at ARCA in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 5th to 7th, 2024, the tournament featured sixteen skilled teams engaging in a series of intense matches over three days, totaling 18 matches with six played each day.
The stakes were high with a prize pool of USD 356,000 up for grabs, distributed among the participants based on their standings. REJECT emerged victorious, claiming the coveted 1st place and a substantial prize of USD 100,000, followed by Alpha7 Esports in 2nd place with USD 50,000, Vampire Esports in 3rd place with USD 30,000, and IHC ESPORTS securing 4th place with USD 15,000.
This significant milestone further cements NODWIN Gaming’s extensive track record in catering to mobile esports athletes, fans, publishers, and enthusiasts alike.
Putting up an event of this magnitude is no small feat but the shared capabilities & collaborative synergy between our global teams & subsidiaries; NODWIN Gaming India, Freaks 4U Gaming, NODWIN Turkey & Middle East demonstrated that no challenge is large enough.
From conceptualizing & executing the on-ground production across 2 venues and 12 days, managing a roster of 16 teams across 10 countries, broadcasting in 14 languages with dynamic storytelling captured through 80 cameras and also, and marketing the event; the team left no stones unturned in putting together a great experience for teams and viewers.
This resulted in over 500,000 peak viewers and exceeded 5 million hours watched from 38 broadcast hours.
PMGO is aimed at pushing boundaries and bringing global opportunities to players across the world. The open-to-all format provided a launchpad for aspiring esports athletes to compete at the top tier of mobile esports and prove their mettle.
