On August 3, 2024, Fuarizmir in Izmir became the epicenter of Turkish esports as it hosted the highly anticipated Turkish Championship League Final for League of Legends (LoL).
This event, organized in collaboration with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, İZFAŞ, Riot Games, and Ninja Company, marked one of Turkey’s largest esports gatherings, drawing over 1,000 enthusiastic fans.
This major event offered an exciting competition that captivated esports enthusiasts and League of Legends fans. During the Summer Season Playoff stage, the teams that finished fourth, fifth, and sixth competed in the EMEA Masters 2024 qualifiers, while the top three teams directly represented Turkey at the EMEA Masters 2024 in Berlin.
The final match saw Papara SuperMassive emerge victorious in a hard-fought 3-2 series against Dark Passage. With the conclusion of the playoffs, qualifiers, and final, four teams—Papara SuperMassive, Dark Passage, Misa Esports Kabasakal, and Boostgate Esports—earned the right to represent Turkey at the EMEA Masters 2024 in Berlin, solidifying their place among the best in the region.
Spectators filled the arena to cheer on their favorite teams, enjoying not only the thrilling matches but also a festival-like atmosphere that featured a variety of engaging mini-events.
From basketball and dart challenges to table football, VR experiences, and a quiz zone, attendees were immersed in a day full of excitement and entertainment.
In addition to the in-person excitement, the event was also a major online success. The nine-hour event, including a 5-hour and 47-minute live broadcast on Twitch and YouTube, attracted over 145,000 views and more than 15,000 concurrent live viewers.
This year’s Turkish Championship League Final crowned a new champion and showcased Turkey’s growing enthusiasm for esports, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this thrilling saga.
